I have been smoking the Double Ligero Chisel for several months now. I am an avid Padron fan and the Ligero is right up there with some of the best cigars at a reasonable price. I too have tried the punch on one side of the chisel rather than cutting it and the experience adds a nice dimension since the smoke hits you on the top of your palate and draws very nicely. If you haven't tried this method it is worth the effort. Great cigar!

I picked up one of these on the recommendation of Rush Limbaugh. And he was right this is a strong but smooth cigar. I am a fan to the la Flor Dominicana line, and this is one of the best. For the price of this cigar it is unbelievable. This is one to set aside time for and do nothing but enjoy it.

That is a shame I love the Chisel and Chiselito. It could have been a humidity issue. I like to keep these cigars at about 65% and haven't had any issues. Most tobacconists keep their humidors a bit higher because all of the traffic in and out.

Just recently attended a La Flor Dominicana event at a local Cigar Shop and was able to smoke the Coronado which was #2 in Cigar Aficionado as well as the Chisel. The rep toted the Coronado as "Rich and Spicy". True it was spicy at start but quickly faded and became a rather plain smoke. The Chisel on the other hand was quite enjoyable. I was advised to use a punch on the top of the end for the correct smoking experience. The shape is a little to get used to but this cigar made up for it. Nice draw, Peppery with a smooth consistency throughout. The only down note is that both the Coronado and the Chisel went out a little more than 2/3 down the cigar and would not re-light, which disappointed me especially on the Chisel as I was really enjoying it. I will pick up a few more Chisel.
