Neglecting my favorite cigars.

By Jesse | April 30, 2007

I’ve been looking at my reviews and realized that I’ve been neglecting my favorite cigars. So for the month of May I plan to focus on cigars from Carlos Toraño.

If you have a Noventa I am curious to hear your take on it. I haven’t come across on of those yet but I am very interested in hearing some opinions on that cigar.

I have had the Noventa, actually I bought a box back in November. I just had one last week and I must say that, that cigar is a damn good smoke. It was way better than the first one I had in Novmeber. These cigars need age on them. Atleast 3 or 4 months. I was shocked at how good it was and I have been slapping my own hand every time I reach for one, cause they are not cheap cigas and I would like them to last.

I haven’t tried the Virtuoso or the Noventa yet, but they are on the top of my list.

Well, any singles I buy sit 4 to 6 months minimum in my humidor before I’ll smoke it just so it can acclimate. It’s rare that I smoke a cigar ROTT but I admit sometimes the temptation is too much :) Boxes sit much longer….

I think I only have about 15 cigars at the moment. That is dangerously low for me! Luckily my local B&M keep their cigars in great shape and I can typically smoke them right out the door.

My lack of self control would never allow me to get that low on cigars, lol.

It was not a matter of an abundance of self-control more so a lack of funds.

    Acclimate to what?

I don’t know that this is particularly lucky. I think this is the idea with cigar shops. They sell cigars that can be smoked.

I think cigar shops do a lot of business in cigars that are meant to be smoked immediately. I think transaction-wise, if not volume wise, this is probably the majority of their business.
