Carlos Torano Signature Collection Perfecto Cigar Review

By Jesse | May 6, 2007

Carlos Torano Signature Collection PerfectoI specifically chose this cigar to start off my journey through the Carlos Torano cigar lines, because it has been one of my go to cigars for a long time. I love the perfecto shape even though it does cost a bit more, as it tends to be easier to light and keep an even burn. The Carlos Torano Signature line are medium to full bodied with a beautiful oily maduro wrapper. The filler is Dominican Cubano Ligero and Nicaraguan Habano Ligero with a Broadleaf binder and Sun Grown Brazilian Maduro Wrapper.

Cigar construction is one of the things that Torano gets right, I have never had one with severe burn problems or other construction related issues. This cigar burns even and corrects any burn problems on its own most of the time. This cigar is open on both ends so no need to cut unless you want to open it up a bit. This is one of the cigars I like to smoke in my car, because it doesn’t require much attention and the ash holds on well not ending up in your lap.

The smoke has a pleasing sweet aroma that really adds to my enjoyment of this cigar. I love slowly exhaling the mouthfuls of thick white smoke letting it kinda of roll out on its own. The cigar is earth and leather with a helping of that sweet and spicy maduro flavor. I think this one is a bit spicier than the other sizes available so the more subtle flavors can be over powered.

I love the spicy kick and it isn’t too strong as to leave you with more than a mild buzz. On a sour note I ended up with a bit of a bad aftertaste, but I think that had more to do with me smoking the cigar a bit too fast. Rating 8.5 out of 10. Buy It Now

A classic cigar, especially in this size. I can’t think of a better zeppelin style perfecto. I have to hide these from myself at the bottom of the humidor… in fact, there may be a few down there right now. Thanks for the reminder, Jack!

This cigar is definitley up there on my list of favorite cigars. I have had a few different sizes of the Sig series and I love them. That’s all there is really to say about this cigar. You were dead nuts with everything you said in your review. Thinking of it, I may go burn one now. Great review!!
