CAO America Cigar Coming Soon
By Jesse | July 4, 2007
CAO has a new cigar in the works scheduled to be released at the 2007 RTDA Convention in Houston. Judging by the packaging it appears to be in the same lineup as the Brazilia and Italia.
CAO America will make its world premiere at the upcoming RTDA 75th Annual Convention and International Trade Show in Houston August 4-8. CAO America will be the first ‘Pinstripe’ style cigar in CAO’s portfolio and will be a full-bodied, robust blend. The cigar features two American-grown wrapper leaves: one Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and one Connecticut Shade. The double-Connecticut wrapper is complemented by a Brazilian binder and features 100% ligero filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Italy, U.S.A., and the Dominican Republic.
Packaged in 20-count boxes, CAO America will be available in three shapes: Potomac (5″ x 56), the torpedo-shaped Monument (6 1/4″ x 54), and Landmark (6″ x 60).

CAO really has some marketing schemes don’t they? No one else is doing stuff like this. Gurkha is close, but in my opinion these are some of the prettiest cigars and have the best presentation you can find. the CAO Visions are the same way. A lot of people are buying them for weddings because they match the bride’s whole theme. hah. genius I tell ya!

I’ve got two in my humidor I’m waiting to try. Gurkhas are nice looking but the last two I’ve smoked were kind of a let down. I have had some cigars from both companies that I really enjoy and the price point on the CAO America isn’t bad.
