Ohio Smoking Ban Exemption in the Works.

by Jesse on July 16, 2007

From WCPO’s Website:

Among the businesses impacted by the smoking ban approved last year by Ohio voters are cigar bars.

They too are smoke-free, but an effort to grant them a smoking exemption is underway.

They are working at both the local and the state level to find an exemption to cigar bars. If you live in Ohio please call your local Senators and ask them to support the exemption (SB No 195). If you are unsure of your Ohio Senator check here.

Senator Gary Cates of West Chester is sponsoring the bill.

Cincinnati Enquirer has an article on the push for the exemption.

Update: I’m moving this back to the top of the page, because it deserves the attention.

No coincidence that there’s a fantastic cigar bar in West Chester!

I’m considering opening a Cigar Store the east side since we don’t really having anything. I’d love to make it a cigar bar, so I’m hoping for a miracle.
