The Journal News has an article on the cigar bar exemption bill in Ohio. I nearly fell out of my chair reading this asinine quote.
Tracy Sabetta, vice president of government relations in Ohio for the American Cancer Society, said the organization will be watching how the bill fares when the senate reconvenes in September.
"The Smoke Free Workplace Act was designed to protect workers from second-hand smoke," she said. "If the law covers traditional bar workers, we also should protect workers in cigar bars."
Apparently you are too stupid to realize that you'll be exposed to smoke if you work in a cigar bar. So please let us make the decision for you, we know what is best for you.
If you buy me a beer I'll make sure to take that money and buy a drink at Anthony's Cigar Bar & Grill.

i really dislike tracy sabetta. a lot. i don’t even know what she looks like, but i get a lot of spam from the “smoke-free ohio” bullsh*t so i know enough to have her on my sh*t list.
I manage Anthony’s Cigar Bar and Grille and am soooo agrivated with this law! Myself, the Owner-Greg Varacalli, his oldest daughter, and some regulars went up to the S.B. 195 Hearing in Columbus on Wednesday. Only Anthony’s and Havannah were present for this last hearing. I think that we ALL need to be attending these hearings so that we are all on the same page. I can’t believe that all Cigar Bar Owners and Managers weren’t properly informed. I do believe that the next hearing is this coming wednesday at the State Building, in the South Hearing Room around 2:30pm. And Thank You Jesse for taking that money and coming into Anthony’s. Next time you’re in, I’ll buy you a beer for your support!!!
I really would have liked to make it, but unfortunately my schedule didn’t permit it. How did the hearing go?
