Description: I’ve been favoring this cigar for awhile now. Over the course of the past 3 months, I’ve smoked about 5 or 6 of these and am finally getting around to reviewing it! The flavor’s infused into this one are noted as being a combination of 5 different wines from 5 different countries. Construction is good, though I do have to say that out of the number I smoked, a majority seemed to be on the softer side and one did split on me. These are torpedo cigars with a pigtail on the end, and a sweetened tip. Pre-light draw was smooth, and the lighting was easy enough due to the unfinished end. With this most recent one I smoked, I had a bit of burn issue that required I touch it up 2-3 times. As for flavor though, this cigar has a unique one. At first I tasted what seemed like a dark, rich chocolate undertone combined with a mellow leather flavor. While the impression of chocolate seemed to stay through out the entire smoke, it would change subtly from time to time and kept me interested. The infused wine flavor I would have to say reaches its peak around mid-cigar and the combination of that and the chocolate is quite nice. This combination starts to calm a bit as it reaches the end, and finishes off with almost the same flavor it seemed to begin with.

Verdict: Despite the softness and burn issues I’ve had with this cigar, I just keep coming back to it. This one is probably my most favorite of the Acid series and if you smoke flavours, I would suggest trying this one at least once.

Similar Cigars: At this time, I’m really at a loss as to what a similar cigar would be. As always, feel free to make your suggestions.

I used to smoke cigarettes also, but quit those before I picked up cigars. Smoking cigars isn’t nearly as addictive and they taste and smell so much better. :)

It sounds intriguing! And I’m really glad to see I’m not the only one out there reviewing the occasional “botanical” or “infused” cigar! :) Though to be honest, I haven’t come across one that I can see myself smoking regularly yet.

How does this compare to the Nasty (or am I thinking of the Nefasto)? I haven’t tried either, but I’ve been thinking about trying one. I’ve heard they also have notable cocoa flavors.

Hey Brian. :) If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m kind of the resident ‘flavored/infused’ reviewer here at Cigar Jack’s. I suppose that’s because they were my starting cigars when I first began smoking. While I do plan on reviewed ‘nons’ at some point also, I figure this will probably be my main niche here for awhile seeing as we want to appeal to as much as the cigar smoking community as possible. Also, flavors/infused seem to be considered ‘not very manly’ so it kind of just fell to me to do so. Heehee.

Anyway, I have yet to try the Nasty cigar. There are still a few of them I haven’t gotten to, but I’ll hopefully have a review up of each of them at some point in time since Acid seems to be one of the more popular brands of flavors currently out there. I’ll keep you posted. :)

    Hey Denise!

You know, I didn’t even look at the author of the post! It’s very cool that you’re also contributing reviews to the website, and even cooler that you’ve really gotten into cigars. (Even if they’re infused ones! You know there are people out there that want to know about ‘em.) Jesse’s gotta love that.

Did you get a chance to smoke the Moontrance they gave out at the CAO party? I remember smoking the cigarillo size years and years ago, but I haven’t gotten to the ones I got at the show yet.

lol Yup, you gotta start watching that author now. ^_^ But if it’s any consolation, you’re not the only one who’s made that mistake.

And you know, I can’t remember if I smoked a Moontrance, or an Eileen’s Dream. I don’t know if they gave us both. Whichever one I did smoke though, it was good. I’ve had both before, but it’s been awhile. Again, they’ll be reviewed at some point in the future. :) I’m currently out of all CAO’s and Acid’s so I’ll have to have Jess pick some more up next time he’s down there.
