Burton, MI passes proposal banning smoking on all public property.
Thursday, September 27th, 2007This doesn’t seem like such a big deal until you dig into this and find it out bans smoking in public parks also.
Smoking would be banned at City Hall, the Burton Senior Activity Center and in city-owned vehicles and local libraries. In addition, the ordinance would affect visitors to city-owned parks, including Kelly Lake.

Follow up on Belmont, CA Smoking Ban
Thursday, September 27th, 2007Belmont, CA has gone ahead with the smoking ban. It will go into effect on January 2009. This law gives building owners the right to evict smokers and other renters the right to sue smokers in their building if they don’t quit.
