Cold Remedies
By Jesse | September 10, 2007
It is Monday morning and I’m still battling this cold. I’m trying a few different things but still feel like crap. What ticks or remedies do all of you use when battling a cold?
I have a couple cigars I’m dying to smoke, but they are on hold for a few days. I’ve found it is best to wait at least three or four days after I feel OK for my senses to fully return to normal.

Try the “vin chaud”, hot red spiced wine. Here’s a recipe :

Always helps me. There’s another good drink I sometimes use :
honey+hot milk+white rum
Good luck!

The best thing to fight a cold is a big fat stoogie. The nicotine kills any germ that is invading your system. So don’t wait, fire one up. You will feel better.
Get well soon. I miss your reviews.

honey, milk & rum? hmmmm I’ll have to try that tonight.
Ugh I’d love to smoke a big fat cigar but I know it would kill me and be a waste of a cigar. I got a bit of a sore throat with this cold and the smoke would kill it.

I suppose it worked, didn’t it? (according to your new review..)

I wish it was that. I actually had this review partially written last week and just needed to flesh it out.

Ah, you should have got some Emergen C or Wal-Bourne from WalGreens. That stuff works SO well if you catch your cold symptoms fast enough. I swear I’ve beat 2 colds this year that way. I haven’t had a full-blown cold all year because I was able to beat it before it turned into a problem with the Emergen-C stuff. Hope you feel better.

Yeah I have some of the Wal-Bourne and I’ve been taking it from day one, but it wasn’t enough to fend off this one. It has helped on past colds.
