Belmont, CA has gone ahead with the smoking ban. It will go into effect on January 2009. This law gives building owners the right to evict smokers and other renters the right to sue smokers in their building if they don’t quit.

I can see the Gestapo forming now… This is truly saddening that the Americans who tout freedom only do so for themselves and not for all Americans.
This is beyond ridiculous! People will wonder where their freedoms have gone before long and ask “how did this happen?”. Maybe they should also ban anyone who wears colognes or maybe that don’t use deodorant!
