Bush Plans to Veto SCHIP

By Jesse | September 28, 2007 |

The amended version of the SCHIP Bill has a $3 Cigar Tax and No Floor Tax. Bush stands by his plan to veto it and the House does not have the needed 2/3 Majority needed to override it. One good thing about this bill is the cigar industry has become much more politically active and if they can continue this trend it may help prevent future tax hikes.
