I have never expected a good cigar from Brazil, I have tried them and they were surprisingly great, very smooth smoke and wonderful taste, for the lovers of strong cigars, this one is not for you. This is an elegant and rich cigar with buttery flavor and medium floral. Try it.

I recently tried the Alonso Menendez cigars that a friend of mine brought back from Brazil. I thought they were outstandingly smooth with a buttery spice flavor. Never harsh, a great compliment to a canadian fishing trip.

I have been smoking Alonso Menendez (Maduro and Connecticut) cigars exclusively for over the past 9 months and recently added the Mata Fina to my humi. This cigar is the perfect compliment to 18 year old Chivas Regal. They seem to echo one another’s aroma, flavor and impact.

I bought a box of these about a month ago and have them resting. Come spring, ( if I can wait that long. Fortunately it comes early in San Antonio…) it’s going to be the first thing I pull out for a smoke on the back porch. Warm weather is a must for cigar smoking, imho. The hotter the better. Can’t wait.
