Casada Toro Cigar Review

November 29, 2007

The first I’d heard of these cigars was when they showed up in my mail box from Tex Cigars. Originally created for one of his local tobacconists by Oliva Cigar, he is now also carrying them online. The Casada Toros I recieved had a nice looking Connecticut Shade Wrapper, the one pictured did have a larger vein running through it though. Other than that the stick is the same high quality I’ve some to expect from Oliva Cigar.

Camacho SLR Maduro Rothschild Cigar Review

November 27, 2007

The Camacho SLR Maduro is an imposing looking cigar with Honduran Filler from the Eiroa’s family farm in Jamastran Valley, ranging in color from dark chocolate to black on its veiny Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. El Legend-ario Authentic Corojo Figurado Cigar Review

November 21, 2007

The El Legendario was visually pleasing throughout. It had a slightly toothy dark natural wrapper with one medium sized vein down the spine. The cigar was quite firm to the touch with just a little give at the head. The pre-light draw gave off a grassy taste with a hint of nuts, and some sweetness off the wrapper.

Padilla Obsidian Belicoso Cigar Review

November 20, 2007

Recently, I have been a fan of anything Padilla has put out. So, why would I pass up the opportunity to grab some of these! I picked up several bundles and hosted a nice split with several fellow brothers. An absolutely gorgeous beefy smoke – A big fat belicoso 6 x 54. The wrapper was magnificent rugged black Nicaraguan ligero leaf.

CAO Sopranos Boss Cigar Review

November 19, 2007

Does this cigar really need an introduction? What do you do when Tony Soprano asks you to make him a cigar? You make it or else. The Soprano Edition is the first cigar that HBO has ever licensed to commemorate a show, and who else would you turn to for something like this, but CAO? CAO is the cigar industry’s king of marketing and knows how to get their cigars in the public eye. The CAO Soprano Edition is a beautiful dark cigar in an eye catching box that is reminiscent of a cherry red car trunk.
