Country: Honduras
Wrapper: Honduran Corojo
Binder: Honduran Corojo
Filler: Honduran Corojo

Description: The El Legendario was visually pleasing throughout. It had a slightly toothy dark natural wrapper with one medium sized vein down the spine. The cigar was quite firm to the touch with just a little give at the head. The pre-light draw gave off a grassy taste with a hint of nuts, and some sweetness off the wrapper.
After toasting the foot the cigar lit right up. The first third had a slight sweetness mixed with grass, and a tea like finish. In the second third the tea flavor got stronger mixed with almond, mild spice and earthy under tones. In the final third the earthiness and tea flavor came more to the forefront, and the spice got stronger. The draw was effortless and the cigar produced a lot of smoke. The burn was perfectly even with a medium grey strong ash that had goose bumps to boot.
Verdict: I would smoke the El Legendario again. It is surely one that will only get better with age. It had enough flavors involved to keep things interesting. The strength I would class as medium to full body. It would be a good addition to the humidor of any cigar lover.

Tastes like grass and tea, eh? This sounds like a stogie for hippies! (No wonder it’s “earthy” - nyuk nyuk.)

Nice review. I’ve been smoking these off and on since they were released and have really enjoyed them. I recently tried the Maduro and think it is just as good, if not better than the Corojo. Give it a try if you haven’t already.
