MI House Passes Smoking Ban
By Jesse | December 5, 2007 |
According to the Detroit Free Press the MI House has passed a bill banning smoking in most workplaces. This includes bars and restaurants, but does have some exceptions.
LANSING — Smoking in Michigan workplaces, including bars and restaurants, would be banned under legislation passed by the state House.
Today’s vote is a victory for supporters who’ve been pushing the measure for a decade. But it may not get very far in the Senate because majority Republicans oppose it.
I’d suggest you call your Senators and let them know you do not support this bill.

Thankfully, the Senate probably will not pass this.
