Description: I reviewed the EO 601 Oscuro Tronco shorty after the RTDA 2007 Trade Show, recently I got a box of the La Fuerzas in the mail from EO Brands and I wanted to give this cigar another go to see if the latest productions held up to the same quality as the cigar I got at the show. Upon examining the box I’ve noticed they are putting a date on the box. I really like this added touch, this way you know the exact age of the cigars you’re buying. The box date on mine was 6-OCT-2007, so look for another review of these in October, 2008 as I see how the cigar responds after a year of aging.
I’ve got no complaints on construction, I’ve yet to have a problem with any of the EO Brand cigars regarding quality. The wrapper is dark, a bit toothy, and finely veined and even has a spicy bite on the prelight draw. These cigars were just as good as the one I had after the show. A hearty mix of cocoa and coffee make up the body with a heavy dose ofCayenne pepper and black peppercorn to spice things up. The Green Label Oscuro doesn’t let up ever for a second, it is a full bodied butt kicker start to finish. Honestly this cigar reminds me of steak au poivre (Steaks with a Black Pepper Cream Sauce).
Verdict: This is going to be one of my go to cigars for a long time. A great cigar to light up after a heavy meal and definitely not for faint of heart. I’m curious to see how these cigars change with a year of age on them. I’m also eager to try smaller coronavitola if I can get my hands on them.

Even the larger version of the photo is too small?

One of my projects is to build a light tent for taking photos of the cigars.

That would be perfect!

Just ordered some of the La Punta (5 1/2 x 52). Interesting to see how this size compares.
