Description: I’m telling ya,,, I’m in love with these Padilla’s! Here’s another one I’ve been waiting to try,,, and I got my chance! This cigar has an absolutely gorgeous wrapper with quite the oily sheen. Mighty fine looking cigar with another flawless construction. It’ll make you drool just looking at it. The 1932 I smoked was the robusto (5 x 50).

Easy clip, easy draw, giving me prelit draws of cedar and spice. This cigar started out very full, with the cedar woodsy flavor dominating the senses. But only for a moment, as an earthy, nutty flavor entered the picture. Once again, the flavor of the tobacco was incredible. And it complimented the other flavors so magnificently… Another great start!

Around the half way mark, the cigar became very smooth, almost creamy. It was still very, very full and picked up a bit of leather and coffee. This remained throughout the remainder, gaining strength and flavor as I closed into the end. And what a finish – very long-lasting! Once again, I nubbed it all the way.

The burn was very good, not great, but no need to complain. Tons of smoke. This was stronger than the Miami 8/11 and the Series 1968. Full Flavor, Full Strength.

Verdict: Absolutely awesome! I will be getting some more of these. You know you have a winner when the start is just as awesome as the finish. In December 2006, Cigar Aficionado rated the Padilla 1932 Churchill with a 90 point, the most for a Churchill.

Similar Cigars: I just don’t know. Perhaps another one of those, well, you know.

Great review Jeff, I haven’t really explored much of the Padilla line recently. Since I can’t get them locally they typically take a back seat to other cigars. I’ll have to hit up CBid and pick up a few of these.

I have to agree with Jeff, this is one great cigar. (I reviewed the torpedo on my blog back in October). They’re definitely worth the effort to track down. And as luck would have it, a couple local shops have these in stock!

This is a great cigar and has tons of flavor, i do like the Miami 8&11’s better though.
