@Steve: Thanks for the comment. Definitely not a replacement for a good cigar. I even said that in my review of it. As far as not mentioning it on a cigar site, people were curious about it so I posted my thoughts on it. I think the big mergers going on have more to do with the cigar industry being lumped with big tobacco than a little device like this does.

Not a fan of this product. This tool was merely designed to deliver nicotine into the blood. This is not what a cigar is designed to do. Rather, a cigar is an experience above and beyond mere flavors and aromas. However, products like this continue to cloud legislation’s (and society’s) idea of a cigar, further lumping it into the Big Tobacco picture. By no means should this product be promoted on even mentioned on a cigar site. Just my two cents.

Fair enough. I don’t get cravings very often, so I don’t think is really something I’d use. But, then again, it might be nice to have during the winter months, were I don’t often have an opportunity for a proper cigar (can’t smoke in my apartment building, unfortunately).

Give me a good cigar any day! One day that I really enjoyed was a long car trip with the kids in the car where I didn’t want to smoke. At least going through the motions of smoking a cigar helped take that edge off that steering wheel gripping stress that children can cause on long road trips.

This really seems like little more than a nicotine delivery system. Seems like something for cigarette smokers (i.e.: nicotine addicts) than cigar smokers. I suspect the cigarette-style ones will start to sell well as more and more places enact smoking bans.

There’s a pipe one too! Interesting. I prefer to stick to my real cigars and pipe, even if it means I can’t smoke indoors.

They actually make a pipe and cigarette version also. I never got a buzz off it like I do a strong cigar. I see this as more of a cigarette replacement than a cigar replacement. If you can’t go all day without a nicotine fix I’d consider taking a look at this, especially in a colder climate where you have to stand outside to smoke.

I have to say, that is one weird device thats probably going to make someone millions on day.

So would you say this is designed to simply be a nicotine delivery system? So if one were “addicted” to cigars they could puff away on this thing while they are on the job (or in any other place they can’t otherwise light up at will)?

Does it deliver the same type of nicotine rush that some cigars do, such as causing light headedness or nausea?

I’m trying to see where this could be useful but for the life of me I can’t see how this would ever replace a cigar in my eyes. Now if this were a mechanical cigarette I could see where it would get alot more use from tobacco users.
