Hi Cigar Jack, Damsel here!

Heck no, keep the updates coming. I rely on your investigative talents keeping us all in the loop. In my view, keep smoking out of the play-grounds and any public facility that causes grief to children or non-smokers (a reasonable regulation)- but private clubs where grown folks come to enjoy a cigar and other grown folk business, is just that, grown folk's business! Having said that, imposing stringent policies upon the club owners, is just garbage and unfair! No smoking outside - no problem, its too damn cold anyways. Let me light up my stogie, and enjoy my friends indoors at a cigar bar!

Until this matter is settled and the "Do-Gooders" cease and desist, please keep us updated, and thanks for your diligence!

In the state of Illinois, in order to be considered a private club, you need at least 75 members paying dues over the last two years. This language was added into the June 2007 passing of the ban. This little detail in the law has killed any chance of a bar or restuarant becoming a private club anytime soon. The Liberal Do-Gooders are trying their best to kill the small businesses of Illinois with this ban.

8 more days until a smoke free Illinois.
