I bought a box of these and are on my last few. While they are not my all time favorite, they are a good go to cigar. The best feature of these cigars is the shape. It makes the draw effortless and the construction and burn is consistent and even on every one. Flavor to me is on the fuller side of medium. It has bit of pepper spice with a somewhat unique flavor in the beginning but then gets a little one dimensional toward the end. The last one tastes exactly the same as the first one even after 6 mos in the humidor. Very consistent.

Beautiful cigar...wonderful draw. Spicy and woody but with a sweet hint. The only problem I had was an uneven burn a few times...but that was a minor annoyance and cleared itself up about halfway through.

I was wondering about that, actually. In my experience, most of the brands that are originally of Cuban origin seem to have setup shop in the Dominican or Nicaragua, rather than Honduras. Confusing, indeed!

Most of the Altadis USA RyJ's are made in the Dominican. This one from what I understand is rolled in Honduras, but is mostly Nicaraguan. How's that for confusing? :)

I enjoy the Cuban RyJ lines, but haven't really tried the Hondurans. Enough time has passed that, despite sharing the same name, I'm sure the lines are very distinct. I should really delve into the Honduran lines, if they're as good as this particular review indicates.

I'm going to explore the RyJ lines a bit more. This cigar was fantastic, once I get some more cash I'm going to buy a box.
