Alright since we’ve been talking so much about Don Pepin Cigars, I thought it was high time to take a look at his website. Everyone knows him by name, but shamefully I must admit I had to do some searching to find the actual name of his company, El Reyde los Habanos.
Cigars: A+
This is one of the best done sections I’ve seen of any manufacturer so far. The cigars have great descriptions, along with a breakdown of the tobacco in each cigar. They don’t skimp on the pictures either, giving us one of eachvitola . Over all a well done section. Not all the cigars they make are listed, but considering these are made for other companies I’m not concerned about that, but links to them would have been a nice addition.
Company Information: A
The details on the company and Don Pepin are great, I also like the fact that they have information on both factories. The News and Ratings sections are fairly recent, but I don’t think they are fully up to date. The contact information is solid with multiple contacts and ways to contact them.
Website Features and Usability: B
This is where they fall down a bit. Overall this is a well done website with easy navigation and a clean layout.
The Bad:
- Events Calendar is empty
- Retailer Locater is out of date
The Good:
- Easy Navigation
- Minimal Use of Flash
- Video and Photo Gallery
Recommendations:
El Rey de los Habanos needs to keep the site up to date. I’m glad the cigars are up to date, but I’d also like to see the other sections updated. A minor addition that would be nice is adding links to the other companies they have partnered with to produce cigars. Overall a well done site that isn’t overloaded with Flash or useless features.

I have to say I thought the contact list was great on this site, but every e-mail I try gets bounced back to me!
Thanks for pointing that out Brent. I’ll have to try them out and see what happens. I know I’ve emailed them in the past and didn’t have trouble, but that was someones direct email.
