Saturday, February 9th, 2008The Oliva Serie V is one of the best cigars we saw come out in 2007. I remember the first time I tried these at a pre-release event. I stopped by The Party Source for the weekly tasting, found out it was moved down the road. Since I was already there I thought I might as well pick up a few cigars and grabbed the Oliva Serie V Figuardos and headed down to the Beer Sellar. Turns out the cigar being featured was the Oliva Serie V. Jose Oliva and Sam Leccia were on hand for the event.

Thursday, February 7th, 2008The Reserva Figurado Series of La Gloria Cubana are a limited edition with only a certain amount released each year. These cigars are aged in special cedar bins for six months and another three months in their boxes prior to shipping. The cigar is hefty cigar for its size and is a bit rougher looking, but that’s common for a Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper. Overall I’m impressed with the construction, a good weight and easy draw.
