Review: Super Bowl Sunday, one of the best weekends for any sports fan. I’m a huge sports junkie, especially football. This is a weekend I look forward to all year, so I needed a big time smoke. I had lots to choose from, but my choice tonight was a Carlos Toraño Signature. This will be my 1st Carlos Toraño and I cant wait.

Looking at this cigar, you can see quality all over it. It has a gorgeous dark Sun Grown Maduro Brazilian Wrapper, with beautiful veins and bits of glossy oily spots. Its then paired with two very attractive bands that add a special look to the overall cigar. This is by far one of the best looking cigars I have seen. I personally feel Carlos Toraño has one of the best bands in the business. Its not over the top, its simple, good looking and the colors blend in perfect with the cigar.

Toasting up this cigar was fun. Soon as you start to light the foot, you get hit with tons of smoke and sweet aroma. I got hit with hints of honey and maybe some syrup mixed with roasted nuts. I was really impressed with the aroma from the toast up, really good stuff. It was easily lit, with no problems at all.

Smoking this cigar only gets better. Puffing away I get sweet nut notes, cocoa, dark honey and soft creamy leather. The flavors is this cigar are just delicious. There is no bad after taste, no harsh flavors in your palate, which is amazing because there is tons of smoke coming out from this cigar. I absolutely did not get any spice at all from this cigar and that my friends …. makes me extremely happy.

The Carlos Toraño Signature is listed as a Medium to Full body smoke. That could be true, but with the way this cigar looks, draws and smokes, you almost forget. Its so smooth and easy on the palate, it feels like a mild cigar, but it isn’t. You get so much smoke in your mouth, but its so light, it doesn’t seem like much, that’s until you blow it out. Don’t let this cigar full you, if you don’t take your time to smoke it, it will kick your ass.

The burn was perfect all around, right from the beginning. No touch ups and no uneven spots. The ash was bright white, with light gray veins and dark gray spots. It was also very strong and lasted more then past the half way point before it came off, just wonderful construction.

Final Note: Wow, where do I begin? This is by far one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. The Padron was beyond excellent to me and this is right behind it. This is Tom Brady and The Patriots tonight, your extremely good, but sadly there has to be a 2nd place and if Padron we’re the Giants tonight, that’s exactly where it would be. I like to think of this cigar as Padron’s baby brother, it was that good to me. I might get lots of opinions from people, because of my comparison, but I don’t care. I loved this cigar. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this cigar. The only bad part of this whole smoke …..? It was over, I didn’t want it to end. This is my #2 favorite cigar.

Rating: 4.9/5 – EXTREMELY GREAT

I must agree with the reviewer. This is an extraordinary smoke. Flavors I would add? Roasted coffee and mocha. Lemony pepper and spice on a long creamy finish. I tried my first one tonight after trying the Torano Virtuoso earlier in the week. Both smokes are lucious. I have decided to give away the cigars I presently have in two of my humidor sections and replace them with these two.I have smoked cigars 3 and 4 times as expensive but these are the only two that made me fall in love at first taste! Highly recommended
