I like the Hoyo De Monterey Excalibur No. 2. I think it has a good balance of cedar, toasted nut-like tastes, and just a bit of spice that seems to weave in and out. Never bitter, oh so smooth. Great looking Connecticut wrapper with almost always excellent construction that provides just the right amount of resistance to burn well, but not too fast. The ash is about as pretty as something called "ash" can be...It's white and of enough density if you pay attention you won't end up wearing it instead of putting it in the ashtray where, as far as I'm concerned, is the only place it's welcome. Overall a good example that a smooth and fairly mild cigar can have lots of flavor too. Recommended.

I tried my first Excalibur 1066 this evening paired with some fine Belgian bitersweet dark chocolate. The experience was nothing short of heavenly. The cigar has a smooth coffee taste throughout. Light to begin with, stronger near the end of the stick. I really didn't want it to end. I plan on buying a box as soon as I finish writing this. The next pairing will be with a fine chocolate bock beer from a familiar American brewery. Can't wait!!!

I've been hearing good things about this one. I think it was a CA Top 10 of '07 smoke. And they're very affordable.

Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur is an outstanding smoke. I have no idea why I don't smoke more of them. I will never turn one down, it's consistent and ohhh soo good.
