Padron Anniversary 1926 Maduro #6 Cigar Review
By Jesse | March 27, 2008
A little late today, but here is today’s contest entry. This one comes from Paul (PabloCruz) from Social Cigar.
The Padron Anniversary 1926 Maduro # 6 is a Nicaraguan puro, with a lush looking Dark maduro wrapper and a firm box -pressed shape. The cigar is labeled with a double band and individually numbered.
I think this became my favorite size 1926 because it is the most affordable. But now after smoking numerous 1926’s I think it’s the flavor of this and the #9 that have made this cigar an obsession with me. If you have never smoked a ‘26 you owe it to your self to try it at least once.
As you pick it up the cigar feels dry and hard, but once you clip the end you will find a relaxed effortless draw and a pre light taste of tobacco and sweet coffee like a fresh shot of Pilon.
As you light the cigar you get a burst of spice and chocolate. After the first draw the cigar becomes smooth and creamy and all the complexity kicks in. It has a hint of a nutmeg and leather taste with an almost cherry like finish. The 1926 has been my all time favorite cigar for a while with no signs of slowing down.Time and consistency is the mark of a truly great cigar. This one has passed both.
