Nub Cigar Website Review

Well since this has become the unofficial "Nub Week" here on Cigar Jack, I thought I just was well take a look at the new Nub website. The Nub Cigar was just released and the first big launch party just happened to be in my area. I couldn’t wait to light up the delicious looking Nub Habano. So to wrap the week up here is my thoughts on the Nub Cigar Website.
The Cigars: A+
The Nub site has exactly what every site should have on their cigars. They have the break down of the tobacco and some great pictures, but they don’t stop there. Sam Leccia goes into the theory behind the cigars and the process he went through in creating them. Great information here!
The Company: A
Since things are just getting started I’m cutting them a bit of slack here for not having detailed contact information. Otherwise the information is very good. They’ve got News, Events and Press Sections that so far are up to date. The Press section I think could be made better by linking to not only the big magazines talking about the Nub, but also the bloggers and podcasters that have talked about it.
Website Features and Usability: A+
The website is very clean and easy to navigate. No annoying music or excessive use of Flash I’ve found on some of the bigger manufacturers’ websites. Everything is well updated so far along with a complete listing of all the launch parties happening the next few months. The real added feature is the Nub Live Forums. Sam is very active there and using them effectively. You definitely need to keep an eye them for the contests and promotions going on.
Recommendations:
Overall a great site and resource. I’m always happy when I can get all the information I need about a cigar from the manufacturer’s website. I’d like to see some additional contact information added, but at the moment I can understand why it is just an email address. The addition of links to the cigar websites that have published information about the Nub would round out the Press section nicely.
