Padron Cigars Website Review

By Jesse | April 11, 2008

Padron, when I hear that name I quality is one of the first words that comes to my mind. Unfortunately that quality isn’t something that’s made it to their website. Made sometime in 2002 and it appears it hasn’t been updated since.

Padron Cigars Website

Cigars: D
The cigar section is inconsistent and out of date. I don’t see the several of the newer releases listed. We aren’t just talking new releases, but cigars that have been around a couple years. Pictures are hit and miss too, they have them for some lines at least. Under the Padron 1926 they don’t even have the different sizes listed.

Company: B-
They have a short company history section. A little bit of news and a contact section. They have all the information I’m looking for on a site, but it is a bit lacking.

Usability and Features: C
No real extra features to mention. They’ve got a ratings list, but they’re all from Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider. The section about the factory is interesting, but it isn’t anything special.

Recommendations:
How about an update? It is pretty clear that Padron doesn’t realize the potential of a good website. I’m not asking for a Web 2.0 site with all the latest bells and whistles. There isn’t really anything terribly wrong with the current layout. My biggest issue is the complete lack of updates.

So if you’re looking for information on any of Padron’s later releases, look elsewhere. Their site doesn’t have it.

Great Link, that picture of the beetle infestation is about enough to give you nightmares. I think I better go double check all my cigars…
