This is one of my favorite everyday smokes. I have never noted a problem with one, tops for consistency. Tis a beauty, with its oscuro wrapper chock full of thick veins.

Punch-Rothschold-Double-Maduro-Cigar Easy clip, with prelight barnyard flavors with a touch of chocolate. You can tell right away you’re in for a treat! Easy light, and we’re on our way. lots of thick smoke with an easy draw that’s not too lax…. I note coffee and dark chocolate flavors with a black cherry finish, and it keeps getting better. Around the half-way mark, that awesome Punch tobacco flavor kicks in. This is a fantastic blend, with a fantastic lingering aftertaste! The last third begins to increase in body and strength and I would rate it full-flavored at the finish, and an excellent finish at that.

I’ve never had a draw problem, never had a burn issue, and am always satisfied! The only problem I’ve ever encountered was due to operator error. On occasion, I’ve smoked them too fast and it got rather hot toward the end.

Verdict: As you can tell, I really like this smoke! It is a great $2 smoke. I’ve read other reviews that put this at full-body and full strength. I disagree. It’ll end up that way, but certainly does not start out.

Similar Cigars: Hmmm, Maybe a Hoyo de Monterey Excalibur maduro for the chocolate/coffee notes. But that black cherry finish is all Punch!

It looks like a great looking cigar. I love cigars that are reliable as well. My favorite Punch so far is the Rare Corojo Crystale.

Very yummy and my basic go to cigar.

I’ve only purchased Connie’s once and it was the #9. I really enjoyed them. :)

‘the last few boxes have been very light and disappointing hope its just a snag i had a similar exp years ago with the hDM box pressed smoked tons and the the quality just dropped’

This is always the problem with affordable cigars – they put out a good product at first to get attention, then after they start selling they start using sweepings, hoping to move you up. I have to say that this cigar is still my favorite and I haven’t yet experienced the big quality drop after two boxes. Maybe the next one is the bad one. Well, only one way to find out!
