This has to be one of the most difficult cigars to track down information on. Dunhill doesn’t have a website for the cigars nor does British American Tobacco have any details. Luckily CigarCyclopedia and a few other sites had some great details on this cigar.
British American Tobacco chose Carlos Torano to take over the Dominican Signed Range and to launch the new Nicaraguan Signed Range. The Dominican line I’ve heard good things about, but it is a bit of a bear to track down. It also didn’t do as well as they’d hoped as cigar smokers are leaning towards fuller bodied cigars. So in 2007 the Dunhill Nicaraguan Signed Range was introduced. Their hope is this cigar will revive the Dunhill name. So does it?
Construction: The Dunhill Nicaraguan Signed Range is definitely a premium constructed cigar, I’ll give them that. The wrapper is beautiful brown with a slight reddish hue to it. It has some heft to it and firm throughout. Prelight draw had a slight resistance to it, perfect. I picked up some cedar and a tea flavor prior to lighting it.
Burn: Slow and flawless, a great burn. The burn line was a bit wavy, but never got out of control. The Ash was a beautiful light gray and very firm. It took a pretty good tap to knock it loose.
Flavor:
First Third: This cigar takes almost no time to develop its complexity. It starts off with leather, chocolate and spice. The spice has some definite cinnamon hints to it that lingered in the mouth leaving a touch of heat.
Second Third: I was still picking out the spice and leather but the cigar developed some cedar notes.
Final Third: The cedar and spice really came out nicely; I also picked up a touch of coffee. I burned my fingers before finally putting this cigar to rest.
Verdict: This is one of the more complex cigars I’ve had recently with some fairly distinct flavor changes. As the cigar progressed a different flavor would become dominant. Dunhill and Torano have a winner with this cigar, next time I get some extra cash I’m picking up a box. The cigar paired very well. The first was had with just water, but I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd even more. One with some 10 Cane Rum and the other with some Doi Chaang Coffee.
Her Humidor and Doc Stogie Fresh also posted reviews of this cigar.

Very nice review. I’ll definitely have to try one of these. I smoked the Dominican version last year, and enjoyed. A fuller-flavored Nicaraguan version I’ll probably love.

Hmm…when I think of Dunhill, I tend to think of pipes, not cigars. But, this sounds like a good stick. I’ll have to try and get a hold of one.
