Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Alright I’m in a real rush to get this posted so I won’t have a chance to post all the links mentioned in this episode. This week’s guests were Brian and Jerry from Stogie Review. We did have some trouble with the audio echoing.

My Grandfather passed away today so I’m going to be out of town for a few days. I’ve asked Alex and Daniel to keep an eye on the site and update the site with any news that comes out in the next few days.

Punch Gran Cru Maduro Robusto

I seem to always go for the lesser known stuff lately, so I’m making an effort over the next couple of weeks to review a few of the easier recognized names in the cigar industry. I started it off last week with hitting up Padron and CAO, this week I’m taking a look at some of the different Punch Cigars out there. The first one on the list is the Punch Gran Cru Maduro.

Ashton ESG 20 Year Salute Cigar Review

According to Ashton Cigar’s website, the Estate Sun Grown was developed to celebrate their 20 years in the business, and is constructed with “a unique Dominican wrapper grown on the Chateau de la Fuente farm in the Dominican Republic.”  I’ve never had a chance to sample one of these, as it’s out of my usual price range, but my lovely bride purchased one for me as a birthday gift, so I mixed myself up a mint julep and smoked this one on a lovely, cool summer evening.
