Description: Another great cigar from master roller Don “Pepin” Garcia and “Tatoo Pete” Johnson! These will not be reproduced, and are sold out! At least, I haven’t been able to find them…. I got a fiver in a box split last September. Based on prior comments, I let them sit a while….

Tatuaje Cabaiguan Guapos Cigar This is a great looking, beefy stick, very firm! With its light-veined, light-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut Sungrown wrapper and its pigtailed triple-cap, it’s almost a shame to put it under the guillotine. But that’s exactly what I did!! Easy clip, with a slight tug on the pull, giving me pre-lit flavors of grass and sweet tobacco. Easy light, and we’re off! Immediately, a pepper spice tickled my nostrils. I tasted that grassy flavor and the sweet tobacco. Much more mild than I expected. Well, that changed as I got into the mid-section as it picked up in strength. Crème and coffee notes emerged, and the grass flavor took the back seat. Nice and complex! The finale picked up a bit more of the spiciness and crème. Nice and smooth..

This cigar produced a modest amount of smoke for its size. The burn was somewhat erratic, needing an occasional touch up with the torch! It got just a bit hot toward the end, though it did not stop me from completely nubbing it. A good hours worth.

Verdict: If you get the chance, grab yourself one (or two, or three…).

Similar Cigars: I’ve smoked a few of the other Cabaiguans. These are similar, with the added spiciness, and a touch added to the strength. Another original!
