Some Much Needed Thanks

by Jesse on September 5, 2008

It has been awhile since I’ve done this so I wanted to take a minute and thank a few people who have done a little bit extra in encouraging me to keep this site going.

Dylan from Camacho Cigars first of all has been great. He’s always sending me something new to try, and let’s me bounce ideas off him. When the Travel humidor for August’s Contest showed up it also included one for me and a couple other extras!

Alan Rubin and George Sosa from Alec Bradley Cigars. Both trade shows I’ve been to the Alec Bradley booth is one of my favorite stops. These guys are just fantastic and don’t mind you drinking their coffee and stealing the very comfortable sofas for a few minutes rest. George also made sure to get me plenty of Tempus and Maxx Traditional samples.

Eddie Ortega from EO Brands is another guy who will never let you run out of cigars. Not only did he make sure I got some pre-release samples of the Cubao, he also sent me a box of the Cubao No. 2′s after the Trade Show. I don’t think I’ve ever burned through a box of cigars so fast.

I can’t forget Luis Sanchez from La Tradicion Cubana, and Joe Fuller from Fullers Pullers. I finally got to meet Joe at this years trade show, and every morning my first stop was Luis’ booth.

Last but not least I want to thank all the guys over at The Party Source who always have something new for me to try out or giving me suggestions on everything from rum to new reviews.

There is a ton more people who have helped this site out tremendously. I’ll make sure to try and catch you next time if I’ve missed you this time.

Wow Jesse — how great it is that you are getting such excellent support from the munfactuerers and retailers! It really goes to show how important blogs have become as a part of the industry at a grassroots level.

Keep up the great work – I enjoy reading your blog, and hope that mine can be even half as good! :-)

That’s great to hear that you are getting so much support. I’m going to be launching a blog here shortly, and I hope I can get a fraction of the support you have here at Cigar Jack.

Chuck it just takes a time. I’ve been doing this for over three years off and on. The big thing is patience.

Just to clear things up, Jesse makes it sound like he gets all his cigar’s for free…well let me say he’s got a big buying habbit as well. Dude just can’t stay out of the PS humidor!

Where are you finding the Alec Bradley’s? I didn’t see them at Party Source. I was at Jungle Jim’s recently and a guy there gave me his sample. Nice of him but he did so as he informed me that they wouldn’t be carrying them either.

Thanks for all that you do to support those around you, not only the B&M and cigar makers, but the industry as a whole. With all that you do, your work doesn’t go unnoticed. As much as you have supporters, we’re all real fans as well. Keep up all the great work you do.
