I like my coffee strong but smooth. I usually only drink a couple cups a day so I can handle all of the caffeine.

I enjoy my coffee, on a daily basis, black and strong with a healthy dose of sweetener. Those times when there is the opportunity, I enjoy spiking it with something else, maybe Jack Daniels or Drambuie, and taking it onto the back patio where I can watch the morning with a nice mild cigar and the guitar stylings of Phil Keaggy on my iPod. Life doesn’t get much better!

I usually drink it black with one packet of Splenda in it for a little sweetness.

I make my first cups of coffee really smooth. Lots of cream. Later in the day, I switch it up if I’m still needing more and take it a bit stronger.

My normal drink is an Americano with 4 shots..Usually have at least 2 - 3 per day..I recently started usuing Raw sugar instead of my normal pink packet of Sweet & Low…I love the Work of Art Maduro with coffee..Yummy

I like to grind my own beans, normally Starbucks French Roast. When I’m at home, I like to make a french press. On the run, I brew a small pot. Both ways I take it with cream and sugar.

I love coffee. I drink coffee every morning while I smoke a good cigar. Lately I have been on a Sumatra coffee kick.

no fairrrr!!! of course you offer a contest for something i actually want when i’m out of the country!!! :(

(by the way, in case you change your mind on the “outside the US” thing, i prefer a bold coffee with half-and-half and turbinado sugar. if i REALLY need a kick, i get a “black eye,” which is coffee with 2 shots of espresso, and some type of syrup to tone down the bitterness, usually almond syrup.)

It depends on my mood how I like my coffee. It has to be dark and strong. Sometimes I like it black, sometimes with a little cream and sugar.

  11. Steve Says:
    October 14th, 2008 at 3:10 pm

Coffe must be black, without distracting additives or accoutrements, savored slowly and frequently sniffed to get the all the senses engaged in enjoying the start of the day

  12. Chip Says:
    October 14th, 2008 at 3:21 pm

Always black. I learned that back in College (Less moochers with no Cream and Sugar available!)
I’m a big fan of a full bodied coffee and the French Press. The stronger the better.

Rule number 1, coffee black and very hot. Java Estate is very smooth with low acid. Step outside (not a requirement for cigar smoking around my house by the way) to the bench bordering the Koi pond. Relax with a cigar, coffee and morning paper listening to the sounds of the waterfall. Nothing better!

  14. Brandon Says:

I like my coffee dark but creamy. I have gotten to the point that I have to put just a touch of creamer in my coffee. Not alot, just a touch. Too much and it’s ruined for me.

  15. Bill Says:

I like my coffee freshly-roasted… especially when I roast it myself. Freshly ground and with clean filtered water! I like my coffee black so that I can explore all of the flavors.

Lots of cream & lots of sugar!

I like my coffee all times of the day. I like it sweet and LIGHT..
Light as the sand on Jackson Beach.
Sweet as the times I’ve been at the beach.
Iced or hot..Depends on my mood not the temperature of the day

    Aaahhh
    :)

I know this sounds like one of those Starbucks drink orders placed by a-holes (b/c it is)…but really, I’m not an a-hole….I just like being able to customize a $4.50 cup of coffee:

Triple Venti One Raw Sugar Non Fat 120 Degree Latte with a Stick.

    Triple Shot Espresso
    Venti Size
    Sugar in the Raw
    Non Fat Milk
120d (So I can drink it w/o burning my lips off)
Stick (So the coffee doesn’t spill into my cupholder)

    Its del.ici.ous

Very black….I grind Dark Expresso Beans…Double Expresso on the way to work ( made at home )..Sugar….Same grind in my coffee pot at Work (4-5 big scoops )…sugar..you can’t see thru the clear pot…usually 2 cups hot..sugar ..then it goes on the rocks for an iced coffee by 10 AM ( better than Starbucks Iced Americano and much cheaper )..sugar..Anything left in the pot comes home to finish off after Dinner , in fact i’m drinking todays leftovers on ice right now…sugar..Wife says my eyes should be bugging out from the Caffene , but i sleep great..Did i mention I probably consume too much sugar ? Seems like all the substitutes have something in them that is bad for you in some way… . 8>)

VERY DARK…I grind Expresso Beans…One double expresso on the way to work ( 5 minute ride )….Sugar…4-5 scoops of the aforementioned Ground Expresso go into my personal 12 cup coffee maker at work…Sugar…2 cups hot and then switch to iced coffee about 10am…Sugar..Makes Truck Stop Coffee taste like tea…Sugar..Any leftover goes home with me for after Dinner with an Acid Atom Maduro Or A Toast ..Sugar..My wife doesn’t know why my eyes dont bug out from the caffene…Did I mention I probably consume too much sugar…It seems like imitation sweeteners have something added to them thats not good for you so I figure natural sugar is better.. @@ Sorry for 2 posts , i thought the other one got lost……..

I enjoy a bold coffee with heavy cream and light sugar with an Illusione H1 early in the morning. That’s the way to kick off the day!

  25. Daniel Says:
    October 17th, 2008 at 8:23 am

Just a little bit of skim milk. Nothing more.

Well, I’m not eligible for the contest, but I’ll still leave a comment about how I like my coffee: black.

I used to enjoy sugar in my coffee (never could get used to cream or milk, though), but at some point I stopped taking it with sugar and now even a single sugar makes the coffee taste far too sweet for my liking.

    Hi Jesse,

    Great contest idea!

There is nothing that I love better than a good cup of coffee made from a darkly roasted bean. My favorite is the Sumatran grown bean. Columbian Supreme is my second favorite.

Sugar with half-n-half (if available), otherwise a rich, powdered creamer. I find that the right amount of creamer helps to bring out the just-barely-there flavors in a pot of freshly brewed coffee.

    Good Luck to All!

    Bryan

I enjoy a stout/strong coffee usually about a half a pot to a pot every morning before work. Especially during the cold months here in Wisconsin I carry around a cup all day long as I am in the Army and work outside alot. No sugar no cream…just coffee….

Espresso - Double Shot Macchiato (Spoonful of Foam on Top) Take 3 times daily and you’ll be all set.
