I’d had to say my favorite so far was the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Classico. I’m not the biggest fan of the regular Fuente’s, but the Hemingway’s are smooth and superb.
The best cigar of 2008 has to be the Cabaiguan Guapo. Fantastic smoke.
My favorite this year has been the La Flor Dominicana L-500 Cabinet. Really, all the Ligero Cabinet line is fantastic, but the L-500 is the crown jewel.
Liga Privada #9
I’ve had a lot of very good smokes this year but the one that really sticks out for me so far (the year isn’t over yet!) is the 2 by Illusione. Maybe it was when I smoked it or the mood I was in, but I keep thinking back to that cigar. I should probably suck it up and buy a box I’m sure I wouldn’t regret it. (I’m sure what I’d regret is that I’d probably end up smoking them all in a week)
My favorite cigar this year is a tie between two sticks. The Coronado by La Flor, Corona Gorda, and the Oliva V Double Toro.
Yum, all of them.
I’ve got to say it’s the El Triunfador Lancero from Pete Johnson. This cigar is a hit pick to click, no question. If Pete ever does a full line of sizes of this blend, we’ll be knocking down his door.
Of the New cigars to come out in 2008..My favorite is by far the La Riqueza #3 & #4..They just hit my flavor profile dead center
My favorite of the year was the Oliva Serie V Torpedo.
Tatuaje Taino or Padron 3000
J. Fuego Delirium
La Riqueza #5
My #1 go to cigar this year has been the Perdomo Habano Maduro Torpedo. A good sleeper would be the underrated Cuvee Maduro 151.
#1 Medina 1959 Miami Edition – Cuban Crafters #2 Cabaiguan – Pete Johnson
Alec Bradley Tempus is my favorite new cigar. (Smoking one now).
Honorable Mention:
-Serie V Dbl Robusto
-Illusione ~f9~ Finesse
tough choice… tatuaje SW reserva was great! illusione holy lancero was even better!! can’t get enough of them!!
I loved the Oliva Series V Maduro torp
Just tried a Jameson Black today. It was a real surprise in the best possible way. The burn was perfect, ash held on like a pit bull. The flavor was rich like the uncle you wish you had.
After this afternoon I need to update my selection to Tatuaje Black.
