This is something a bit different than what most of us have come to expect from Jose “Don Pepin” Garcia. At first I didn’t care for it so much, but after I let me sense of taste recover from the IPCPR I gave this cigar another try.
The cigar is beautiful and even though the descriptions don’t mention it I’m guessing this might be a Sun Grown wrapper. The band seems a bit plain up against some of the other Pepin cigars. Who cares though we don’t smoke the bands.
It took me some time to nail down this cigar, a little too much to smoke in the morning and too light to smoke after a heavy meal. The Tabacos Baez starts out with some nuttiness and a wood flavor. Picked up a touch of spice, a bit of cinnamon that left the tongue tingling a bit and just a hint of vanilla. I was picking up another flavor that I had a hard time picking, but after checking a couple descriptions on a couple retailers I figured it out, mushroom. Strange, but very enjoyable.
Verdict: This isn’t a full-bodied in your face cigar like most of the stuff from Don Pepin. A Subtle and complex this is great medium bodied cigar and a good bang for the buck.

I’m waiting for my order of(Monarcas)to arrive,from what I hear seems to be a nice mid-morning smoke.I’ll be back w/my 2cents on these stogies pretty sure I won’t be disappointed.Suave mi gente..
