I’ve tried a few bundled cigars some have been great cigars for the price, then I have those that get put in the humidor and never taken out again after trying one or two. So what bundles do you go to on a regular basis? Right now I tend to go between the Flor de Olvia Corojo and the EO Brands No. 21. I’m sure I’m not the only one looking for a good inexpensive cigar with the direction the economy is going.

I’ve never had a Flor de Oliva but I’ve heard from many people they are pretty good.
The best bundle cigar that I’ve smoked is the Flor de Copan line from JR. I’m on my third bundle.
My favorite bundle, without question, is the often-overlooked Ybor City Handmades from King Corona Cigars. Awesome flavors of almond and mild spice with excellent construction.

Speaking of which, it’s about time for me to order another bundle!
For me, Perdomo Fresco, Maduro Torpedo. I love ‘em!
Just my .02 cents
A good bundle cigar? I’d go for the ‘Bundle Selection’ by Davidoff (DR).
I like the Benchmade by Pepin/Ashton. They come in boxes though… :-)
I am a fan of the Perdomo Fresco line. The Maduro torpedos are a little rough unless you let them sit in a humidor for awhile, but the non Maduro ones are pretty tasty and mellow.
The only thing I hate about the Fresco cigars is the idiotic looking band. I know it doesn’t have anything to do with the cigar itself but a thick black band with peace symbols all over it? Really?
Ybor City Handmades – fantastic, mild but tasty.
I gotta say the Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba ia a great smoke. Great flavors and a good burn.
Flor de Oliva maduro are really the only bundles I’ve purchased so far. Not sure you would put Tatuaje Series P in the bundle category, but I’m big fan of those, and they are in the same price point as the FdO.
Flor de Oliva anything.
I’d say the Perdomo Freso or the La Finca Fuma Larga. About a buck a stick and pretty tasty.
Many bundles are 2nds or overruns. The biggest difference with this type of bundle is that it hasn’t been aged at the factory. Most cigars get six months to a year or even more before they are sorted and boxed.
I really love the Consuegra bundles from JR’s. However, I never smoke them without aging them first. I have 4 boxes of 50 each of the #9, so that when I start a box it is already 3 years old, and is almost 4 by the time I finish it. I just laid down my latest 50.
That is my biggest value cigar, tastes better than many of the Villizon firsts, and all I need is time.
I got a bundle of the Flor de Oliva Maduro torpedoes, and they are a fine smoke. I have had them in the humidor for a couple of months now, and the one I had last week was the best yet.
I picked up a bundle of Tierra del Sol Maduros by Perdomo and despite a loose draw and slightly uneven burn, I found them to be flavorful and a good value.
Give me my Occidentals any day.
la unica is my first choice!! then flor de oliva. i also really like the montesino bundles!!
Tough, there are a lot of decent bundles out there.
I’ll go with a Famous bundle no longer for sale, Nicaraguan 1000 perfectos in an oscuro wrapper. I love these cigars and save the few I have left for special occasions.
That’s right, I save a .45 cigar for special.
Top Hat in the Dorado size are a good mild/med smoke.
A couple of other decent Famous brands are Mosaic and Perdomo Remainders.
From CI (on the auction) I like Maxim’s Omnibus, and go ahead and shoot me down, I have had worse cigars than Duque, especially at .40.
I’ve smoked plenty of those Terra del Sols.
Finally, I first saw Perdomo Frescos at the new local grocery that opened – with a cigar counter. I was pleased with it as a $2.50 single.
That advert on the rss feed for gayBearDating nearly made me drop my cigar and bring up my lunch. Glad we Brits have strong stomachs Jesse.
As a really decent bundle cigar I am always very pleased with both the Occidental Reserve Conn and Aspira Corojo available at Famous.
Both totally different but never a bad one in three yrs or so.

My bad – wrong thread
My preference for bundles include the JR Alt Edicion Limitada version of the Montecristo C and Edmundo cigars, Famous Dominican 1000 Natural wrapper Torpedo, and Tabamex Maduro Presidente size. The JR cigars are toothy and more full bodied and probably require the most aging out of the three brands. The Famous cigars are mild in body, and I found them them to be quite decent right out of the Fed Ex box. I highly recommend the Tabamex maduro cigars for their sweetness and their mild-medium body. They’re probably the most rustic of the bunch, but if you really care about what your cigar looks like over what it smokes like, then you must have an oral fetish.
Many fine bundled values out there. But the one that consistently knocks peoples’ socks off are the Los Blancos Primos Rosados. If you love a full flavored medium-bodied smoke, this one will surprise you. Easily worth more than double its price point of $2-$3 or so. I noticed Famous has a special on these bundles right now too — free shipping and a free cigar cutter.
I like that big Tabamex – never noticed that they looked all that bad.
I am a big fan of Consuegra bundles by the famous Villazon factory and Estaban Carrerra Rocky P. Also Slow Aged by Perdomo is a well made economy cigar.
Sorry guys! I’m paying the extra 20 bucks for Oliva G or not smokin’!!!
Not only do I enjoy JR’s Alternatives, but their Don Diego Privada #2 Alternatives are as good as or better than 70-80% of the mild-medium premiums I’ve smoked over the last ten years. Construction is near-perfect and after smoking five or six bundles the last two years, I can’t recall ever finding a mistake either. At under $2 a stick you can’t beat it. I’ve paid more often, but rarely gotten a better cigar than this one. Take off the JR band and put em in a fancy box and you wouldn’t know the difference!
You should try the Tarazona bundles. Very good and economical. They also provide for many other companies under different names. Really does it for me!
I’d say the JR Limitada Edicion Montecristo Edmundo, though it isn’t anything like the Cuban for which they’ve name it, is a good solid bargain in a medium to fuller smoke. It gets better as you’d expect with some humidor time, yet it is smokable and a good bargain right away. Not everything JR recommends can be trusted, but these are quite nice.
