I know I've been missing for the past several months and I apologize for not saying anything. I've avoided email, facebook, twitter and the site. Work has been stressful over the past year and at the beginning of January a huge personal matter took center stage in my life and had to be dealt with and well I'm still dealing with it but in a much better spot now. Dealing with this and work took and all my available energy.
I know I dropped the ball on a contest and plan to make that right. I've got several months of email to go through, but again just wanted to apologize for vanishing like I did.
Update: Also much thanks to Daniel for carrying the site though all this.

I think the community is happy to see you back. Best wishes on whatever it is you are dealing with, and I think everyone would agree that personal matters take president. You need to spend less time on apologizing, and more time smoking cigars, anyways ;) Take it easy, happy smoking, and if there is anything you need, any number of BoTL, including myself, would be happy to lend a hand.

I was worried that the site went away! We all can relate that life happens and the cigar blog has to take a back seat. Sometimes the site has to go away. It happens. I appreciate you letting us visitors know what has been up. Hope things get manageable and you can get back to the site!
Just a FYI – A soon to be posted rant complains about those who abandon their cigar sites with no explanation to us readers. Obviously it doesn’t apply to you.

I’ll admit I kind of abandoned it without explaining. But in the place I was in I didn’t want to. Also yeah the blog expired a few days ago because my initial payment didn’t go through and I didn’t bother to check my email to verify they got it and so had to send it again.

What separates you from some others is you are now trying to set things straight. OK technically maybe you did “Abandon” the site for awhile. But you are back now and letting us readers know what’s up.
Of course, you owe us readers nothing, so all efforts are appreciated. When life takes priority over the cigar site, it is completely understandable. Thanks again for giving us an idea of what was and is going on.

Whew! No, seriously: Whew! When the site blitzed I was afraid for you. First and foremost: I am glad you are out and about, resolving whatever came up. Bravo! Family, health, career all come before other issues. Relieved to see you back in the saddle!
