Sometimes No Answer Is Best

by Jesse on August 11, 2010

My wife sent me this yesterday and is still pestering me for an answer.

There is a story about a knight who ends up married to a hideous old hag in honourable obediance to a vow. On the wedding night the hag turns into a beautiful young woman. The knight has a choice: she can be beautiful in the privacy of their bedroom or beautiful in the public hall. Wonder what most people would choose?

Sometimes it is better to just not answer those questions when either answer could get you in trouble. Or maybe I’m over thinking it.

Well, I would tell her that I would want her to be beautiful in the public eye. “Regardless of what she looks like in the bedroom, I would still love you,” you should tell her, “but I’m lucky, you’re beautiful all the time.” If you can get a break from all the um… thanks she’ll be giving you, you can give me a high-five later.
