Cigar Review: Romeo y Julieta 1875 Cedros Deluxe No 2

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

ryjcedros I haven’t really had much of an opportunity to try out the Romeo Y Julieta line, which is odd considering how ubiquitous it is.  But I recently had a birthday and one of the nice side effects of being known as a cigar smoker is that I have a tendency to get lots of cigars as gifts.  This was a gift from my parents, and I was eager to try it out.

EO Brands Cubao No. 1 Cigar Review

Well I’m not sure if this is more of a treat for me or you. I got my hands on the new cigar from EO Brands. 601 Cigars were featured at one of the weekly tastings put on by The Party Source. Eddie Ortega showed up for the event and handed me a couple of these. He warned me to let them rest a few days before trying them as they were fresh off the rolling table. It was a long wait, I’m not a very patient person. Well I finally gave and lit the first one up last week, and lit the final one up today.

CAO Brazilia Box Press Cigar

I’m finally getting around to reviewing one of my go to cigars, the CAO Brazilia. This is actually the first time I’ve smoked the new Box Press. I was a bit worried because many of the other reviews I read complained about the burn on this cigar.

Padron 6000 Maduro Cigar

Construction: While the one I smoked for this review was beautiful, these have been hit and miss recently. I’ve had some that look like absolute crap. They shouldn’t have even left the factory. So if you are picking up any singles or boxes at your local shop, be sure to look them over before you walk out.

Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Edge Lite Torpedo

Blue Havana in Chicago has a free monthly smoke that I enjoy attending. But to truly get an idea of the type of shop it is, consider this: It’s part of The Alley group of stores on Belmont Avenue, a trendy little strip on the city’s North Side.
