Monday, August 25th, 2008Another Cigar I picked up while at the IPCPR Tradeshow in Las Vegas. This cigar has been on my must try again list ever since I’d gotten my hands on one over a year ago. The Selecao got a 92 rating in Cigar Aficionado so it could get even harder to find.
Cigar Review: Jameson Black Label
Friday, August 22nd, 2008I reviewed the original Jameson Red Label awhile back. While it was an enjoyable smoke, it was something I really had to be in the mood to smoke. Brad from Jameson Cigars and Luis Sanchez from La Tradicion Cubana reblended the Red Label and launched the Black Label at the IPCPR Trade Show. I’ll be hitting the newly reblended Red Label in the next couple of weeks. Right not I’m taking a look at the Brazilian wrappered Black Label.
Cigar Review: Kristoff Maduro Churchill
Thursday, August 21st, 2008The Kristoff lines have been on my list of cigars that I’ve been constantly meaning to try. Thanks to the generous guys over at Exclusive Cigars I got a great selection of samples to try. Daniel tried the Kristoff Criollo awhile back so I’m thought I’d smoke the maduro first.
Cigar Review: Los Blancos Maduro
Monday, August 18th, 2008Los Blancos was one of the companies I was making a point to speak with while at the IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas. It took me until the end of the show to finally get a minute to speak with David Blanco. Unfortunately we didn’t get much time to talk, but I did get a few cigars to try.
Cigar Review: La Caya Brazil
Friday, August 15th, 2008I hadn’t heard of La Caya cigars prior to the Trade Show in Vegas. They’ve been around since 1997, but are now doing a big push to expand. You’ll probably see their ads start popping up in your favorite cigar magazine in the next few months. I spoke with Jose from La Caya, and after telling him the type of cigar I enjoyed he immediately asked me to try the Brazil.
