A few people on Twitter and Facebook asked me for the recipe I was using for my mojitos. I tend to like them a bit lighter and refreshing so I try not to go too heavy on the lime or sugar.

2 tsp Sugar

6 Mint Leaves

1.5 oz Lime Juice (About 1 Lime)

3 oz White Rum

Ice and Seltzer Water

Add Sugar and Mint to the glass muddle to bruise the leaves, try not to tear them. Add Lime Juice and Rum and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add Ice and Seltzer Water stir enough to mix and add mint sprig or lime wedge to make it look pretty if you want.

The Mojito is my favorite summer drink by far, but I think we can all agree they are a bit of a hassle to make. I might make one or two before I just give up and start pouring rum over ice. I was wondering if anyone has tried making them by the pitcher or some other way for when you have a larger crowd?

I’m not a big fan of beer in the first place and always preferred spirits or wine. I bet I’m probably not the only one that feels clueless when staring at all the bottles on the shelf fearing to shell out anywhere from $20 to $100 on a bottle of something I might not like.

I’m not a huge fan of the overly sweet “Energy Drinks” out there but if you put coffee in something I’m always willing to give it a whirl. Last week I was contacted by Shock Coffee and asked if I’d like to try out their products. Hmmm free stuff? Sweet!

Anyway I’m waiting for the weekend to try the coffee, but I was also sent some cans for their Triple Latte and Triple Mocha which is like a supersized version of Starbuck’s Double Shot.

This morning I paired up the Triple Latte with an EO Brands No. 21 Robusto. I don’t think I’ve ever been that wired from a cigar and coffee. Needless to say I was ready to kick ass and take names by the time I sat down at my desk for work.

If you like the Starbucks Double Shots, I’d definitely say you’ll like these. Especially when you need that extra kick in the pants.

A case of 24 cans runs $36.99 compared to 12 cans of Starbucks for $26.99. Bigger cans and more of them, can’t beat that.

So what do you get when cigar smokers set out to blend a coffee that compliments their cigars? Well you get one damn good cup of coffee that’s for sure. CP Coffee is the result.

I’m not nearly as versed in the coffee world as I am in the cigar world, but I know what tastes good and what doesn’t.

I tried this in all three ways I drink coffee, Cream & Sugar, Black and Iced. Typically I don’t like my coffee black, but I found I really enjoyed the CP Coffee black. Very smooth and clean finish. Didn’t have that really bad aftertaste some of the stronger coffees can have.

This coffee definitely is a great addition to any morning cigar ritual, but you don’t need to be a cigar smoker to enjoy dark roast full bodied coffee. It is also reasonably priced being a few bucks cheaper than some of the other gourmet coffees available on the Internet.

I’m not only a cigar enthusiast, but also a bit of a food enthusiast. Yeah I carry a few extra pounds, but what I mean is I’m always interested in trying something new and strange.

Awhile back I started following Terry’s blog, Seduction Meals. She just put up a mojito recipe and a bit of history on the drink. She left out the most important part though, this drink really needs a good cigar with it!

I’d drink these more often myself, but they are kind of a pain to make. Most often I just buy a good rum and drink it near or on the rocks.
