Perdomo Habano Cigars - Cigar Links Edition 13
By Jesse | May 4, 2008
Perdomo released the Habano line in 2007 featuring a three different wrappers: Corojo, Corojo Maduro, and Connecticut Shade. Another unique thing about the Perdomo Habano series is that the filler is comprised of tobacco from the three major tobacco growing regions in Nicaragua.

La Aurora Cigars Website Review
By Jesse | May 3, 2008
This was one of the harder sites to find, but after a little bit of searching I finally came across La Aurora’s Website. A friend of mind introduced me to the La Aurora Preferidos when I’d just started smoking cigars and I’ve enjoyed them ever since. This was the first Cameroon wrappered cigar I smoked and it set the bar very high.

Cigar Review: Perdomo Habano Corojo Torpedo
By Jesse | May 2, 2008
If you enjoy that Corojo flavor profile I think you’ll enjoy this one. It is a toss up between this and the Perdomo Habano Maduro on which I like more. I’m actually leaning towards this cigar, but I think most people would prefer the maduro. My list of favorites is starting to include quite a few Perdomo Cigars and this is another one on the list. Set aside some time for this cigar as I’ve found them lasting nearly 2 hours. […] Continue Reading…

Cigar Review: Hoyo De Monterrey Dark Sumatra Noche
By Jason | May 1, 2008
I was gifted one of these by my uncle and I can’t thank him enough. He turned me on to a nice cigar. Though the look of cigar says full strength, the smooth flavors of this cigar make it seem almost mild. This beautiful cigar is blended by Estelo Padrón. The Ecuadoran sun grown wrappers are aged in dried palm leaves. What this does for the flavor, I have no idea, but it obviously works.
Construction: This expertly crafted cigar is very firm with few veins rising from the wrapper. I felt no soft spots along its 6 1/2 inch frame. It has a nice, easy draw warning me to keep it slow and easy. This seems to be about an hour and a half smoke. I learned that to rush it makes for an unpleasant experience.

Cigar Review: La Gloria Cubana Wavell Natural
By Alex | April 30, 2008
La Gloria Cubana is in General Cigar’s large brand of products, and this particular line is made in their factory in Miami. I actually picked this up at a rolling event at my local cigar store–they had two of the rollers from the factory in Miami and were teaching customers how to roll the wrapper. I learned from this experience that I shouldn’t quit my day job and move to the Dominican Republic–my rolling job was terrible.
