Cigar Review: Ashton ESG 20 Year Salute
Thursday, June 26th, 2008According to Ashton Cigar’s website, the Estate Sun Grown was developed to celebrate their 20 years in the business, and is constructed with “a unique Dominican wrapper grown on the Chateau de la Fuente farm in the Dominican Republic.” I’ve never had a chance to sample one of these, as it’s out of my usual price range, but my lovely bride purchased one for me as a birthday gift, so I mixed myself up a mint julep and smoked this one on a lovely, cool summer evening.

San Cristobal Fabuloso Cigar Review

Two titans of the cigar industry, Ashton Cigars and Jose “Pepin” Garcia coming together to produce a new cigar. Ashton has owned the San Cristobal name since the mid-90’s, but were waiting until they could blend cigar worthy of the name.
La Aroma de Cuba Cigar Review
Wednesday, November 14th, 2007The cigars I purchased looked and felt good, but once I lit them up, I found that both were actually quite difficult to draw, which surprised me a bit. (I used a punch for one and my cutter for the other.) Also, I found the cigars burned a bit unevenly, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but it made the cigars a bit unstable.
