You’ve probably already seen a few reviews of this cigar, but I met with Jon Huber at a local event recently and he sent me a few samples. He mentioned the misplaced band since it came off easy enough I made a quick alteration to repair it. I’m a big fan of the original CAO [...]

Cigar Review: CAO La Traviata Intrepido

December 7, 2009

CAO’s latest cigar has a more traditional feel than some of the releases they’ve done in the past few years. La Traviata is an old Cuban brand back from the turn of the 20th Century that began its life in Tabacalera Cubana, Agramonte no. 106. CAO resurrected the brand and tried to stay true to [...]

C.A.O. Rock n Rolled Tour Kicks Off

October 10, 2008

I’m a little behind on getting this up and due to a problem with my audio recorder I didn’t catch all of the conversation I had with Jon Huber. I’m scheduling a later time to get him on the phone and redo the interview. If you were in Cincinnati on Oct. 7th and you missed the CAO Rock n Rolled Tour stop, you better have a damn good excuse.

This event was the kick off of the C.A.O. Rock-n-Rolled Tour, and this was an awesome way to start. Last count before I left is over 120 boxes of cigars were sold due to some really great specials they had going on. Miguel our local C.A.O. Sales Rep and the guys from The Party Source never slowed down, the only pause in the frantic pace is when they stopped to do the drawing for the raffle prizes.

Cigar Review: CAO LX2 Robusto

July 21, 2008

CAO LX2 Robusto Cigar Review

This is my first review from the cigars I got while at the 2008 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas. I figured I’d start with the CAO Lx2, since CAO’s new cigar is the one everyone wants to know about. The Lx2 is part of the x2 series from CAO which includes the Mx2 and the Cx2. I’ve heard some rumors that the Cx2 is going to be discontinued, but didn’t get a chance to confirm that.

Cigar Review: CAO Brazilia Box Press

June 20, 2008

CAO Brazilia Box Press Cigar

I’m finally getting around to reviewing one of my go to cigars, the CAO Brazilia. This is actually the first time I’ve smoked the new Box Press. I was a bit worried because many of the other reviews I read complained about the burn on this cigar.
