Cigar Review: Reyes Family Cigars Premier Perfecto

Reyes Family Cigars Premier Perfecto

Reyes Family Cigars is the new name for Puros Indios, which is in the process of coming out with a few new lines as they rebrand themselves. One thing that seems to be their trademark is the size of their cigars on the larger end. The Premier is no exception, this Perfecto I’m reviewing intimidates most of the cigars in my humidor. Most other cigars made by Rolando Reyes Sr. have a distinct flavor to them I could often pick up across their brands, this cigar departs from that and the only thing it has in common is the availability in larger vitolas.

Xikar Defiance Renegade Cigar

I’d heard a bit about these cigars, and glad for the chance to finally try it. Xikar teamed up with Jesus Fuego to produce this cigar as a way to combat increased anti-smoking legislation. Xikar donates 5% of the wholesale price to organizations that fight for our right to smoke in the state the box was sold.

La Aurora Connoisseur Selection Corojo Cigar

As I said in the La Aurora Connoisseur Selection Brazil Cigar Review, I want to work my way through these different cigars and see how the difference in wrappers affect the flavor. Once I’ve done finished those up I plan to light up the La Aurora 1945 Robusto and see how they compare.

Camacho Corojo Toro Cigar

When I think of Camacho the Camacho Corojo is the cigar that immediately comes to mind. I first tried this cigar a few years ago and I remember not really enjoying it. I wasn’t used to smoking cigars this strong and having this cigar after a few too many drinks wasn’t one of my best ideas. This is how one of my rules about cigar smoking came about: Do not smoke a cigar you are unfamiliar with while intoxicated. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say I haven’t quite lived it down yet.

Cigar Review: Cabaiguan Guapos

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Description: Another great cigar from master roller Don “Pepin” Garcia and “Tatoo Pete” Johnson! These will not be reproduced, and are sold out! At least, I haven’t been able to find them…. I got a fiver in a box split last September. Based on prior comments, I let them sit a while….
