Cigar Review: J. Fuego 777 Corojo Corona

October 12, 2009

I haven’t had a chance to try all the sizes of this cigar yet as I typically tend to pick this one up while on my lunch break so I typically choose the 46 X 5.5 Corona. The cigar features a Brazilian Corojo Wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo Binder and Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo for the [...]

J. Fuego – Cigar Links Edition 20

November 21, 2008

I’ve talked quite a bit about the cigars from Jesus Fuego quite a bit this week, so I decided to finish out the week by looking at what others have said. The cigar the first introduced me to J.Fuego was the Xikar Defiance, even though I’d probably smoked cigars in the past that he’s responsible [...]

Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Corojo Robusto

August 1, 2008

Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Corojo Cigar Review

I wasn’t quite sure how to introduce this line—after all, who in the Cigar world hasn’t heard of Rocky Patel?  Turns out this was solved for me when I stopped by my local cigar shop last week, and who did I run into but—Rocky Patel!  I shook his hand and mentioned to him that this was my favorite cigar in his line.  Turns out, he agrees with me.  I don’t know what better testimony you can get than that.

Cigar Review: Perdomo Habano Corojo Torpedo

May 2, 2008

If you enjoy that Corojo flavor profile I think you’ll enjoy this one. It is a toss up between this and the Perdomo Habano Maduro on which I like more. I’m actually leaning towards this cigar, but I think most people would prefer the maduro. My list of favorites is starting to include quite a few Perdomo Cigars and this is another one on the list. Set aside some time for this cigar as I’ve found them lasting nearly 2 hours.

Cigar Review: Perdomo Habano Maduro Torpedo

April 23, 2008

Alight, on to the cigar itself. The Perdomo Habano Maduro and Corojo were released in 2007 and contain a blend of Nicaraguan tobacco from three different growing regions. I grabbed a handful of the torpedoes a few weeks ago, and found myself quickly smoking my way through them. Monday I picked up a few more so I could stop delaying and write the review.

Camacho Havana Monarca Cigar Review

March 31, 2008

A Honduran Puro, and contains Corojo Filler and Binder like many of Camacho’s cigars. The Criollo wrapper mellows this cigar out a bit leaving just short of full bodied.
