For some reason I’d missed these at my local shop, perhaps because they can keep them around. Great spicy smoke for an awesome price. I picked up a bundle of them for $28.75. Another reason I’m a huge fan of Erik and Eddie also thanks to Micah at The Party Source for calling my attention [...]

Cigar Review: Cubao Maduro No. 5

October 19, 2009

I reviewed the Cubao No. 1 and Jeff reviewed the Cubao No. 4. We were both really impressed with this smoke. Well this year they added the Cubao Maduro to the line. The difference between the Cubao and the Cubao maduro is the wrapper. The maduro has a Ecuadorian Broadleaf Maduro instead of a Ecuadorian [...]

Cigar Review: EO Brands No. 21

November 5, 2008

Well the economy has gone to the dogs and all of us are feeling the pinch. So I’ve been looking for good cigars that won’t break the budget. Most bundled cigars don’t impress me. By the time I deal with either too many bad cigars in the bundle or just too bland for my tastes I’m better off having spent some extra for a consistent cigar.

Whoa… Caffeine Buzz!

October 2, 2008

I’m not a huge fan of the overly sweet “Energy Drinks” out there but if you put coffee in something I’m always willing to give it a whirl. Last week I was contacted by Shock Coffee and asked if I’d like to try out their products. Hmmm free stuff? Sweet! Anyway I’m waiting for the [...]

EO Brands Cubao No. 1 Cigar Review

Well I’m not sure if this is more of a treat for me or you. I got my hands on the new cigar from EO Brands. 601 Cigars were featured at one of the weekly tastings put on by The Party Source. Eddie Ortega showed up for the event and handed me a couple of these. He warned me to let them rest a few days before trying them as they were fresh off the rolling table. It was a long wait, I’m not a very patient person. Well I finally gave and lit the first one up last week, and lit the final one up today.

EO 601 Green Label Cigar Review

December 10, 2007

I reviewed the EO 601 Oscuro Tronco shorty after the RTDA 2007 Trade Show, recently I got a box of the La Fuerzas in the mail from EO Brands and I wanted to give this cigar another go to see if the latest productions held up to the same quality as the cigar I got at the show. Upon examining the box I’ve noticed they are putting a date on the box. I really like this added touch, this way you know the exact age of the cigars you’re buying. The box date on mine was 6-OCT-2007, so look for another review of these in October, 2008 as I see how the cigar responds after a year of aging.
