Vacation Smoke: Pinar Del Rio 1878 Cubano Especial Connecticut

Pinar Del Rio 1878 Cubano Especial Connecticut

I know this is a newer release from Pinar Del Rio, but I can’t find much information on this cigar except that it is Dominican and Nicaraguan Blend made in Dominican Republic. I picked up a Toro for under $4 as one of the cigars to try on my vacation. Finally getting a moment of [...]

Cigar Review: Dunhill Aged Dominican Peravia

October 1, 2008

Description:
I’ve recently been on a milder cigar kick. I’ve really enjoyed some of the milder smokes I’ve had recently. Next in line is the Dunhill Aged Dominican. Dunhill is a name noted for excellence and class, and this cigar does look classy. The simple blue and white band fit this blend to a tee.

Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Edge Lite Torpedo

June 17, 2008

Blue Havana in Chicago has a free monthly smoke that I enjoy attending. But to truly get an idea of the type of shop it is, consider this: It’s part of The Alley group of stores on Belmont Avenue, a trendy little strip on the city’s North Side.

Cigar Review: Gispert Robusto

May 28, 2008

Gispert Robuto Cigar

I’m always on the look out for a good inexpensive cigar, but tend to shy away from milder cigars from the bigger companies. They always seem to be lacking in taste. Avo Cigars are some of the first cigars I tried when I first started trying different cigars. I enjoyed them, but I think I would have appreciated them more if I knew the story behind them. The cigars are blended for Avo Uvezian by Hendrik Kelner. Avo is a legendary jazz musician and cigar aficionado, [...]

Occidental Reserve Connecticut Cigar Review

December 4, 2007

I first tried the Occidental Reserve about a year ago, and I featured it as my Cigar of the Week about a month and a half ago, but I figured I’d share my review with you on CigarJack! Alec Bradley has really been stepping up his line of cigars, especially with his full-bodied Maxx. This time, he recruited Davidoff’s master blender Henrik Kelner to make a tasty, budget-friendly cigar.

Casada Toro Cigar Review

November 29, 2007

The first I’d heard of these cigars was when they showed up in my mail box from Tex Cigars. Originally created for one of his local tobacconists by Oliva Cigar, he is now also carrying them online. The Casada Toros I recieved had a nice looking Connecticut Shade Wrapper, the one pictured did have a larger vein running through it though. Other than that the stick is the same high quality I’ve some to expect from Oliva Cigar.
